The futureSOUTH Video Contest is Now Closed
Thank you for your participation. Winners will be notified by April 12th, 2008.

Winning videos will be shown at Southern Growth’s Conference on June 1-3, 2008 in Little Rock, Arkansas, attended by hundreds of leaders from the South anxious to listen to your thoughts. The messages will also be distributed as part of the 2008 Southern Growth Policies Board “Voices of the South” DVD.

Rules for entering:

1. You must be between the ages of 14 and 24 as of June 1, 2008.
2. You must be a resident of, or a full-time student enrolled in an academic institution in one of the following 13 Southern Growth member states:
   Alabama • Arkansas • Georgia • Kentucky • Louisiana • Mississippi • Missouri 
   North Carolina • Oklahoma • South Carolina • Tennessee • Virginia • West Virginia.
3. Fill out Southern Growth's Contact and Release Form.
4. Become a member of YouTube
5. Join Southern Growth's YouTube Group and upload your video.

Your video should be no longer than 90 seconds containing a clear message regarding the Future of the South and young people’s role in improving the quality of life and economy in your Southern community or state, or the Southern region overall.

Videos containing obscene or abusive language will not be accepted.

The contest runs from February 12 through April 8, 2008. Winners will be announced on April 12, 2008. For more information on how to make a video or where to mail your entry if you are a winner go to Information about Making Your Video.

Winners:
Winners will be required to submit a full-resolution 640x480 .mov or .wmv of their winning video for distribution by Southern Growth Policies Board.
