Program Description: The central purpose of the FIOG is to assist state and local government officials and employees in improving their skills in public administration and management through training, technical assistance, and applied research. The FIOG facilitates the development of collaborative teams of nationally recognized USF faculty and private experts to provide training, conference planning, meeting facilitation, and research and technical assistance. Current projects include assignments ranging from reviews of public works operations and environmental assessments to organizational assessments, rate reviews, development of strategic plans, and customer satisfaction surveys.
