Program Description: The A.L. Burruss Institute of Public Service and Research at Kennesaw State University provides a wide range of technical assistance across a broad range of policy areas to governmental entities at various levels, as well as non-profit organizations. The Burruss Institute supports Kennesaw State University’s commitment to community outreach by conducting applied research and providing resource acquisition, strategic planning and training and technical assistance to local and regional nonprofit organizations, and government agencies and officials. The Institute includes a state-of-the-art CATI telephone survey lab and a geographic information systems (GIS) lab. The Institute utilizes the expertise of professional staff and the University faculty to analyze and research public sector issues and problems in order to provide key community decision-makers with information to help them solve problems and enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve.
